A Very Belated Christmas Post

Ava was very into Christmas this year! Everywhere we went she pointed out "Shno" and "Ho-Ho", and weeks later she is still doing this with any Christmas stragglers! It was so much fun enjoying the magic and wonder of Christmas through a toddlers eyes. We made a couple of attempts to take her to visit Santa but she clearly wanted nothing to do with him! So we just admired him from afar at malls and Christmas celebrations. I will never understand why people force their terrified little ones to sit on the laps of a strange man all dressed in red, for what, a picture? Sheesh! Maybe next year! We found plenty of other ways to celebrate the season; a Christmas party with our Mom's Club friends, a couple of different celebrations in cute little Cocoa Village, Nan took her to the Festival of Trees, we cruised through Wickham Parks Festival of Lights, and had 4 family Christmas dinners/gift exchanges. We celebrated Christmas with Nan, Grandad, and Aunt Brooke on the 18th. Ava had a blast opening her first round of Christmas gifts, as well as Grady's. Her favorite gift was definitely her Christmas Minnie Mouse. It has hardly left her side since that day. On Christmas Eve we celebrated with Grandpa Clayton and Uncle Quinton. She loves her Little People School bus from Grandpa. Christmas morning was at our house. Santa brought Ava an a classic Little Tykes car, we thought we were going to have to let her open the rest of her gifts from the car, she loves it to say the least! And finally we spent the remainder of Christmas day at Nana and Grandpa Stoner's house, where Ava and Grady got a wagon! It was a very exciting season, and I was sad to see it come to an end. I am already looking forward to next Christmas!
