Today we ventured out in the wind and the rain for Ava's 12 month appointment. We met with the pediatrician who took over Dr. Acota's practice. Tear. We liked her o.k.; she is no Dr. Acosta but she was friendly enough, knowledgeable, and was on board with our alternative vaccination schedule.
Ava currently weighs in at 22.5lbs and is 31 inches long. She is in the 95th percentile for height and 75th for weight. She is consistent on the growth curve.
Ava is a busy body and I feel like she learns something new everyday! She is practically running now and chases the dogs all around the living room, she is into cabinets and drawers and climbs all over the furniture, she can drink through a straw and will empty a sippy cup in the blink of an eye, sleeps really well for naps and bedtime, loves to watch big kids play, loves to experiment with cause and effect, and is teaching Mommy and Daddy that tantrums aren't just for two year olds! We just love her and have so enjoyed every second of the first year of her beautiful life!
