Ladies and gentlemen we have entered the single digit countdown. Less then nine weeks to go. It is hard to believe. It seems like I was just getting over the first trimester sickness and now we're talking birth plans and baby showers!
At 31 weeks Ava is about 3.5 pounds and will gain around 1/2 pound a week until shortly before birth. Her lungs are the only system that have not fully matured. My books tell me she is now curled up in the fetal position due to limited space, however, I'm not so sure I believe that as I watch the ripples travel across my belly and feel the jabs in my ribs! She may be running out of room but that doesn't seem to be slowing her down. She is her mother's daughter!
