Wow, what a whirlwind the past two months have been! Since my last update we started cows milk, stopped cows milk, started day care, stopped day care, Ryan started his new job and is enjoying it, I finished up my 6th year of teaching and am loving my new job as a stay at home Mom. And through it all Ava has been a trooper. Her little bum, not so much. Today we visited our first (and hopefully only) pediatric specialist, a gastro doc in Orlando. For the past 2 months Ava has been having, ummmmmmmmmm lets say bowel issues. Everything she eats comes right back out and oh the rashes...OUCH! We've been to her ped several times about this and the fact she keeps getting colds and fevers (please remember this child only had 1 cold in her first year of life). So after the repeat visits and the slew of negative test from blood work and stool samples, she decided it was time for us to see a specialist. So off to Orlando we went for a consult, where we of course received more orders for blood work and stool samples. Daddy has taken her for previous blood draws, but this time I think I'm going to have to suck it up and take her for the poking and prodding. At this point we just NEED an answer.
On a happier note she continues to be her sweet, joyous self.....even with the ear infection (her 1st one), bowel issues, and cutting of teeth (her last 2), she toddles around the house happy as a clam. She has really been cracking me up lately with her silly antics. How do you not giggle at a toddler who is running from you looking back over her shoulder with the sweetest toothy grin you have ever seen? Her personality is in full bloom and I am relishing the fact that I get to soak up every incredible moment of this precious little life.
